Look beyond the symptom

Your sleep setup may be telling you something.

Snoring, dry mouth, mouth breathing and waking tired can be signals worth paying attention to. LacunaSOLO reframes the conversation around breathing, position, alignment and stability.

Heavy snoring

The body may open the mouth when nasal breathing feels less stable.

Waking tired
Position changes

Airflow can become noisy when the airway narrows or becomes unstable.

The Sleep Airway System

Four factors. One clearer way to think about sleep.

The system connects common nighttime symptoms to the physical conditions surrounding the airway during sleep.

Start with the path air takes through the nose or mouth and into the lungs.

Breathing
Position

Side, back and in-between positions change how gravity interacts with soft tissue.

Alignment

Head angle, neck support and chin position form one connected chain.

A helpful position matters most when it can be maintained consistently for hours.

Stability

Position matters. Side sleeping should be presented as an important part of the sleep-airway conversation.

Head, neck, and chin position should be explained in simple language so the visitor understands alignment visually.

The goal is not a few minutes of comfort. The goal is support that remains relevant throughout the night.

Why the design is different

Conventional comfort versus airway-focused positioning.

A conventional pillow mainly cushions the head. LacunaSOLO® is designed to coordinate side-sleeping support across the head, neck and chin so a more stable position is easier to maintain.

  • Primarily selected for softness or loft

  • May allow the head to roll or tilt forward

  • Does not intentionally guide chin position

  • Comfort is the primary design objective

Where LacunaSOLO fits

The practical solution at the end of the education journey.

LacunaSOLO® is not the whole Sleep Airway System. It is the patented positioning tool designed to apply the system’s principles during side sleep.

Supports side-sleeping posture

Built around a position many people find more comfortable for nighttime breathing.

Coordinates head, neck and chin support

The design treats these contact points as a connected system rather than isolated features.

Encourages a more stable setup

The goal is to make a supported position easier to maintain naturally through the night.

Inside the patented pillow

Three coordinated layers—not one generic block of foam.

The LacunaSOLO® construction combines comfort, head-and-chin positioning, and neck support. Each layer has a distinct role within the broader Sleep Airway System.

Multi-layer construction technology

The design is intended to coordinate the head, upper cervical area, neck and chin during side sleep instead of treating the pillow as a simple cushion.

André Peters

Inventor of patented Lacuna technology

Built from lived experience

A personal sleep problem became a three-year design pursuit.

“I’m not a doctor. I’m an inventor who lived the problem and refused to ignore it.”

After dealing with snoring, gasping and obstructive sleep apnea, André began observing how small changes in head, neck and chin position affected his own nights. Sketches became prototypes, and prototypes became patented Lacuna technology.
